The DPA will host a forum this evening at 6 p.m. at Market Park in Downtown Athens featuring the three candidates for Athens City Council. The event will be streamed on The DPA's Facebook page. Anyone attending in person should bring a chair and follow the CDC COVID guidelines.

VFW Post 5146 in Athens will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25, at 11 a.m. The ceremony will be held inside the VFW and is not open to the general public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be live streamed on the VFW and WLAR Facebook pages.
