As we already all know, @HyperliquidX is the most successful decentralised spot / perpetual exchange in history. HYPE represents the market's valuation of the Hyperliquid exchange and its features. However, with the recent launch of HyperEVM, I believe there are many exciting developments that may occur in the next few months. I've researched and ran some numbers on on-chain metrics to find that HyperEVM is relatively healthy compared to other chains, even in its early phase, meaning there is still a lot of room to grow. I'll share the fundamentals of HyperEVM first and discuss some interesting projects later on. There are likely different fundamental metrics that we can use to evaluate the health and value of a chain. However, comparing younger chains to more mature chains is an unfair comparison - only younger chains have more volatile on-chain metrics such as active users or volume due to special network-specific events. However, newer chains showing a consistent upward trend would be something to keep an eye on, and HyperEVM has had quite outstanding metrics on a few, such as Active Address Utilization. Let me explain one by one. Volume-Weighted Active Address This is quite simple: we fetch the volume of the top 2 DEXs per chain and divide it by the total number of active addresses on each day. This shows the average capital power that each user contributes per chain. For example, Solana is generating the top 4 volume, although its VWAA is lower than others because the number of accounts is much larger. HyperEVM is 3rd in terms of VWAA, meaning each user onchain is trading at least $3,400+ per user compared to other newer chains like Bera, which only has around $400. Volume Weighted Transactions Volume Weighted Tx is a good metric for calculating meaningful on-chain activity - it also takes into account how many bots and automated txs exist per chain. SOL ranks relatively low in this metric because it naturally experienced a phase of high bot demand during the meme frenzy. Typically, the higher the VWTX, the more authentic the chain, and HyperEVM ranks 4th with $155 per transaction, whereas other high-profile chains, such as APT and BERA, have $22 and $33, respectively. It's important to note that wash-trading volume can corrupt this metric (such as BNB, which has a lot of fake wash volume) Active Address Utilization Rate The Active Address Utilization Rate is probably one of the most useful metrics to evaluate the health and authenticity of the addresses online. By dividing daily active addresses with total unique addresses that day, you can chart the percentage of users with activity over total addresses created. A healthy ratio would mean that either unique addresses are growing and most of those addresses are actively participating on-chain, or that there is maintained growth in both active addresses and unique address growth. Although it's quite challenging to see, both active addresses and unique addresses on HyperEVM have been growing exponentially. Active user utilization rate has been averaging ~10%, which demonstrates that the stickiness of newly onboarded users is strong. Other newer chains, such as Bera, have been decreasing in AAUR because their active addresses have been grinding down since mid-April. In comparison, even as a newer chain, HyperEVM has the highest AAUR across all chains, further demonstrating the authenticity of its userbase. Although these metrics are fairly simple, they manage to tell a lot about each chain, and HyperEVM's fundamentals are looking very good despite still being in its inception. As long as fundamentals maintain upward momentum, there is still a lot of potential with HyperEVM and its ecosystem. Additionally, with rumors of HYPE Season 2 Airdrop and the majority of core DeFi lego projects still gearing for TGE and airdrops, HyperEVM is probably a good farm for all of us. Will be sharing a few more other fundamental projects on HyperEVM but for now @liquidlaunchHL $LIQD seems be in the best position to receive attention. LIQD is a DEX Aggregator and a Launchpad at the same time. But for now one of the interesting fundamentals is that 25% of their supply is currently staked and receiving HYPE as reward. It’s only been a week and 1/4 of the supply getting staked is quite impressive. x.com/LiquidLaunchHL… With other core DeFi projects not having TGEd, the only way for users to speculate on HyperEVM is either through MEMEs or DeFi projects that already TGEd like LIQD. LIQD has shown stronger relative strength to HYPE chart itself recently, accumulated for 3 months on the low and is probably the first HYPE launched token to break ATH. Just sharing what I see. Excited to see where HypeEVM will be in the next few weeks. Don't forget, HYPE was the best airdrop in Crypto history. Will share few more fundamentals and projects that I find interesting later on.
