@loughrealad Andrew from a man living in Loughrea, you should never bother watching a football match ever again if you didn’t enjoy that.

Anyone trying to tell me that football has improved and is better spectacle than hurling is mad in the head. Galway Vs mayo is a woeful game to watch. Pure and utter scutter

Disaster for Ireland as Jack Boyle is stretchered off with a serious looking injury. Loosehead prop stocks now being seriously tested after injuries to Andrew Porter and Paddy McCarthy too.

A trio of premiership Cats is jetting off to the other side of the globe to watch a teammate chase a lifelong dream. It's reignited calls for the return of the International Rules Series. @cleary_mitch @7AFL

@PlayerGaelic I think it would be impossible to police. Like in Feile two subs are compulsory at 8 min mark of 1st half and 4 min mark of 2nd half - that rule gets abused, it’s the same lads being rotated and a ref cannot be expected to monitor what you are proposing

@TheDevilNeville Sort this for me: An U12 squad has 18 players. All have trained together and regularly for years. They all got to play Go Games. Each has tried hard to improve. The U12 league game is 13v13. You have 5 subs. Give them 50% playing time. Up until this year, they got 100%.

I shared this idea on WhatsApp with lots of GAA coaches. It’s about guaranteeing young players minimum 50% playing time in underage leagues. Most replied that it would never see the light of day because of coach egos. Surely not. What happened to the player centred approach?

@PlayerGaelic To show up when it’s raining or when the champions league is on tv that invariably end up on the bench - and why should they be given equal game to the player who never misses anything?

@PlayerGaelic I’d respectfully disagree. Of course every team has its 3-4 superstars with natural talent, but most of the majority if they’d applied themselves to training from U6 would now be more than capable of a place on the team with regular game time, it’s the lads who are not inclined..

@PlayerGaelic 2/2 same game as Billy who never misses a session, practises on his own, etc. if a talented child in GAA doesn’t get rewarded - he’ll just go to soccer or rugby

@PlayerGaelic 1/2. think most of the comments on this page are likely from parents who have never coached, simply drop their kids off without ever offering to lend a hand. Explain to me why 14 year old little Johnny who shows up once every 4/5 sessions when it suits him should be entitled to

Oisin Mullin was a HUGE star in Gaelic footy before coming to Australia. How big? Danger says the AFL equivalent would be Nick Daicos 🤯

These kids are scheduled to visit Croke Park, the beating heart of the GAA on All Ireland Final Day. Can you imagine the magic of that? The roar of the crowd welcoming them. Let's get these children to Croke Park. Tag a county player below and let's get this over the line.

No more excuses from this point on. It has to be time to be ruthless in terms of squad. Young lads won’t improve unless they’re giving sufficient championship game time.
