The Odyssey was very cool and epic and I DID like it, but the emotional heart of the movie was just never there. A story about a son longing to know his father, about a husband and wife yearning for each other for 20 years... I should have cried like a baby. But I felt nothing.

to be honest i was rocking with that pretty hard all the way to the end and then they cut to black and played that awful travis scott song and it’s like it instantly rewired my brain and made me realize the things i really didn’t like about the movie

Im surprised more people aren’t talking about just how atrocious this scene is in the Odyssey. Nolan took a part of the story about savage giants who throw boulders at and eat Odysseus’s crew and changed them to be weird 12ft tall medieval knights or something.
