Black ops is a masterpiece I refuse to be told otherwise.

People saying we should be grateful for MW19 because it “revived the franchise”, but I personally loved the BO3-BO4 era. Despite less people playing, those games were some of the most fun CODs I’ve ever experienced. The success of MW19 caused a lot of problems for the franchise down the road, things that have made me enjoy the franchise a lot less. The entire game stands for much of what I don’t like about COD… I mean, they literally told Lee Ross he couldn’t continue his Zombies mode because “it didn’t fit in a Modern Warfare game”, why should I be happy about that all because it was a popular game? When we missed out on what could’ve been a fantastic sequel to IW Zombies? MW19 started the awful strict SBMM that plagued COD up until BO6. It also started the push for a more casual/lower skill gap approach. Thankfully that didn’t impact all the games. Games like MWIII and BO7 feel mostly unaffected by that approach. It was also quite frustrating to see many aspects of these games be changed or adjusted due to the success of MW19. I’ll be honest, I’m not entirely against MW4 being similar to MW19, since there’s clearly an audience for it. But I’ll still be giving my honest feedback and of course I hope SHG and Treyarch are full allowed to do their own thing for their own games and not held back at all regardless of how successful MW4 is.

I feel like a lot of people who are hyping up Modern Warfare 2019 right now are forgetting that the game went live for its beta with no mini map, and we had to practically beg for it to come back.

People will still argue that a faster TTK leads to a higher skill gap, when the developers from Infinity Ward themselves said the opposite lol I hope MW4 at least has a separate mode or playlist with a slower TTK. It’ll be pretty hard to enjoy the game if it has a MW19 or MWII TTK.

MW2019 had the perfect circumstances to be a good game but due to terrible development decisions the game turned out to be a horrible game and took us down the dog water rabbit hole we are in today

the mw19 glaze is so performative dude, even i like a couple aspects of it but just calling it one of the best cods just to be a contrarian doesn't mean it make you interesting plus there's an unhealthy dose of covid nostalgia in there

@HellTypical People forget how much negativity there was towards Shadows, ZNS, and especially Revelations 😂 or how much hate the specialist weapons got. I love BO3, but it's NOT the gold standard people act like it is

on one hand, BO7 year 2 would be healthy for the franchise and would prevent MW4 directly competing with GTA VI this year on the other hand, BO7 of all things being the first COD with a 2 year lifecycle would definitely be an unpopular move outside of the COD community itself
