@josh111520 @MyFantasyLeague Nothing in fantasy is straight forward. As big as 14 and that difference is massive. Plus ceiling is giant. Every rebuild takes at least 3+ years anyway.

@josh111520 @MyFantasyLeague You’re continually ignoring the bye week clause. In a large league with deep rosters 5-10 points from a flex on a bye week when the majority of your starters aren’t available is much better than 1-3 from a 4th stringer.

@josh111520 @MyFantasyLeague You’re continuing to go back and forth between calling the trade fair and not. That internal struggle, to me, indicates you actually do believe it’s a fair trade. Idk anyone who tries to rebuild a roster in 1-2 seasons, either.

@TheFootballPot @MyFantasyLeague Still wouldn’t call it equal. AJB is the only guaranteed bonafide stud of the group. And AJB is still young enough to help in a rebuild situation.

@TheFootballPot @MyFantasyLeague PPR fantasy points totals over his last 6 games: 3.7, 7.5, 7, 1.9, 7.1, 5.3… Hasn’t broken double digit fantasy points in almost 2 months. Those weekly outputs are helping contenders? Lol.

@josh111520 @MyFantasyLeague Well we can finally agree that the value is pretty equal. Obviously one side would be more appealing to someone rebuilding and the other would be more attractive to a current competitor. But that’s the point: the value is different - but ultimately equal.

@TheFootballPot @MyFantasyLeague 2 of the 12 WRs you listed are currently on AJB’s level in terms of real life/fantasy production and that’s Chase/Waddle. So 16%? Again, it’s not a terrible trade. Seems relatively fair on paper but those ‘24 picks are years out from helping your team. 🤷‍♂️

@TheFootballPot @MyFantasyLeague London is not a flex play at the moment. His receiving yards totals the last 6 games: 17,35,40,9,31,23. You’re HOPING any of those future picks and/or Dotson become anything close to what AJB currently is. A bonafide stud. As great as we think we are at drafting, we’re not.

@josh111520 @MyFantasyLeague Dotson scored like 30 points in one start. But again you’re only looking at this from a competitors perspective. I’m talking about actual value, not rebuilding vs. competing now.

@TheFootballPot @MyFantasyLeague Dotson has played in 4 total games with no games over 59 receiving yards, again providing no real fantasy relevance to a contender in year 1. London while a great talent plays in the lowest volume passing offense in football and does not help a contending team in year 1.

@TheFootballPot @MyFantasyLeague Bateman will have 9 starts in 2 seasons when this year is over. Hasn’t returned any real fantasy value so far. And if say next year he goes off, it will be year 3 into his career, proving my point of not being really fantasy relevant right away.

@josh111520 @MyFantasyLeague I’ll give you Toney and Watson, but that’s 2 misses on WRs in 2 draft classes lol. Your argument I think is actually reaffirming my belief that the value lies with the picks in a vacuum.

@josh111520 @MyFantasyLeague It’s a telling sign of a trend in modern CFL and NFL strategy. Receivers are now a premium position. Bateman was popping off before his injury. Dotson was also on fire before his injury, and London is definitely a flex play on a bye week for a contending team.
