I don't know if I loved the little children or drunk adults' reactions to my light up mushroom hat at RenFaire more because both groups: - Ran up to me with excitement - Stared at the lights in wide-eyed wonder - Handed me trinkets and ran off 10/10 would be magical again

@Sokol550 Storm switched to AMD from NVIDIA and had a lot of performance issues for the first few months. They weirdly mellowed out after that (he didn't do anything, they just...stopped.) But I know some people swear by them. So to each their own, but I'll die with my NVIDIA. lol

@TheGidget I've actually heard that for Linux AMD is quite a bit better due to them being open source. That said I've had a bunch of problems with AMD drivers since switching that I never had on Nvidia. Think I used DDU once with Nvidia, seems every other update I use it with AMD...

For the record, I'm not upset with my friend at all. It's not his fault and he feels terrible. I told him even if I have to replace the entire cooling system, it's still better than having to buy a new PC. So I'm just doing PC surgery this weekend to find our what's wrong.

My amazing friend sold me his old PC at an awesome price when he upgraded so I could put more money into helping cats. Unfortunately, somewhere in transport, something with the cooling got damaged. It runs fine. Until you run a game. The CPU spikes to 115 and shuts off.😭

This absolute Renaissance Painting from our D&D is still one of my favorite pictures from the weekend. 3 of us knew how to play. 3 of them were brand new. We were the Tank, Healer, and DM. They robbed every NPC blind and just watched people through their windows like creeps.😅
