@TheGoodIdiot @wiretaup To question this specific spot - I personally think they just about get away with it, but I wouldn't disagree with anyone that said they don't, it's very borderline.

@kevin_morgan8 @wiretaup I agree on that front the tribalism is so frustrating. Wrestling is very interpretative and I just don’t mesh with the way Ospreay does things but he’s obviously over and deserves success.

@TheGoodIdiot @wiretaup I just watched it back a few times on slow mo, I think there's elbow contact, I could be wrong though, watching it on a small phone screen. I still think people are massively over-blowing this shit cos it's Ospreay and cos it's AEW. Some people are just waiting for this moment.

@kevin_morgan8 @wiretaup He clips him with his shoulder but that’s it the elbow completely misses he does about as much damage as he would if he fell on him. I think we’re just seeing two different things here.

@TheGoodIdiot @wiretaup I think the contact is solid, just not 100% full contact. It's not like he completely missed, not even close to completely missing.

@kevin_morgan8 @wiretaup The philosophy when I was training was always “a bad strike makes you both look bad” if you know this is a double down spot you HAVE to make good contact and sound. Otherwise the whole facade melts away and it breaks immersion.

@The_yellowbone I actually love this spot and the way it works because there’s a feeling of Omega gathering himself. He looks dizzy and out of it but he sees MJF and forces himself to fight through that to land a knockout blow. That’s the difference for me between a good and bad no sell sequence

@kevin_morgan8 @wiretaup Then why is Mox selling it as if he had just taken a full finish? He did hit it full force because he missed and it made his opponent look bad. This is the type of stuff that keeps Ospreay a tier below the truly great like Danielson, Styles, and Omega

@TheGoodIdiot @wiretaup He doesn't make good contact and it has no force behind it because he's just taken a move that's stunned him so he can't make proper impact. You've basically figured it out yourself, well done, Jordan.

@wiretaup I’m saying the spot is contrived and forced and part of what makes these types of spots work is they flow in a natural way. You also have to hit your opponent if they are gonna sell it for a double down. So nobody comes out of it looking good.

So you're telling me that because Mox hit his move on Ospreay, Ospreay's desperation elbow (not a suplex, not slam, just an elbow) didn't work out as well and the match continued.

@KnicksLoseAgain Honestly bumping or selling it doesn’t matter because it’s contrived and doesn’t make good impact so it all around looks bad. Like Mox shouldn’t sell on a shitty elbow with no force that barely grazes him. Everyone looks bad here.

@Shpeshal_Nick SM2 was also a massive disappointment. Miles morales was fine for a side project but one great game in 8 years is not a generational run.

@JurassicRabbit It was simply too fast paced for me to pickup the mechanics in game on the fly. Even after 50+ matches I was still just struggling to get my motion inputs to be consistent so asking me to read tags and use feints and remember the weird button combos was just too much.

Weird open beta experience for Invincible VS. I know the game is pretty fun. I’ve played it against devs and people who know what they’re doing. But this is such a mechanic heavy game and people just don’t want to learn the mechanics.

@ScottJund No a lot of people just invested too much time into it and have to like it out of sunken cost only worthwhile thing the franchise gave is Edgerunners. Gameplay is stiff and boring I played 25hrs of it and had more fun exploiting the bugs than interacting with the actual game.

is cyberpunk 2077 actually a good game? i bought it on release and played the first few hours and remember thinking it was sick and then for some reason i had no desire to keep playing
