Your degree didn’t fail you. You were sold a lie. “Study hard → graduate → get a good job.” That formula is outdated. The world moved on, but you didn’t. Every year, thousands graduate. Few get opportunities. They aren't dumb they’re unprepared for the real world. Welcome to The Graduate Talk where we break uncomfortable truths. • A degree is a basic entry, not a guaranteed ticket. • The job market owes you nothing. • Sending CVs is the weakest strategy in 2026. If you’re waiting to be chosen, you’ll wait forever. We focus on what works. • Skills that generate income • Proof of work over paper qualifications. • Positioning yourself, not begging for jobs. This page will challenge you. It will offend you. It will wake you up. Or else you can keep scrolling and blaming the system. Your life, your rules.

I think the reason why tech businesses can outgrow any and currently heading global economies is because of realtime feedback and analytics. Any business that can tap into realtime feedback from customers, analytics will always make perfect decisions. Say hospital business, as soon as your patient swallows the drug, in realtime you know if it's working or resistant, how does it interact with my patient, are they getting nausea, how can I roll back... Say cars, imagine in realtime you're getting feedback of how your customer feels about the paint, the steering wheel positioning, the music etc. Feedback, analytics and ability to quickly improve towards customer first is power... True power.

@quotesdaily100 Gorilla sold these degrees for decades, collected tuition, built campuses, and handed out loans. Now the same system calls them worthless 😏. Monkey paid full price for a product the Gorilla marketed heavily. Who's really broken here tbh???

The last thing Uganda needs is fewer people trained in the humanities.

I will keep writing this till all graduates get the message. Chances of thriving today relying on only professional jobs is getting limited each day. There's an oversupply of professionals and lesser demand. Employers take all the advantage to exploit the cheap labour at their disposal. The system on the other hand no longer recruits on merit. It's either you have connections or pay huge sums of money to secure a job. Away from jobs, focus on chasing relevant skills in the job market. We are in the era of hybrid careers. You can be a doctor, content creator as well as a fashion designer. The goal is to increase your earning opportunities or have multiple skills to stand in whichever market. If you're a graduate out there, broaden your thinking beyond your career. You can acquire skills around the basic necessities of life: food, transportation, grooming, education etc. These will always be in need no matter how bad the economy gets. You can choose to focus on digital skills or trade skills depending on your choices. There are highly relevant skills you can blend into your career. The goal is to gain relevance and remain valuable. Make sure in whichever skill you devote your time to. Let it be problem based. Something people are struggling with. It could be access, distribution, inefficiencies, delays, better quality, timely service delivery etc. Thriving today is about creative problem solving whether at a job, in business or real life. You won't benefit more if you don't follow us. You can as well join our community (link in bio) The mission is to gather all graduates and create a population of empowered and transformed job creators and less seekers. Follow us for more. Thank you for reading. 🙏

@KagimuDrImran B is extremely dangerous, collecting text book knowledge only to realise the reality is far from the economic theories you studied. 😊
