Lotus is live! Lotus is the new architecture for the Guru platform, now live and available on guru.fund. The platform retains all basic features, with upgrades and additional functionality added across the board. Here's a breakdown: .: Permissionless The days of being "mostly decentralized" are over, and Guru has moved to being a fully permissionless platform. This means that the platform is non-custodial, to the extent that even if the website for some reason went down the platform could still be interacted with via a new third party frontend interacting with it on-chain. This is a monumental shift for Guru to ensure it is operating in a trustless manner. .: Faster Transactions Fully on-chain with no intermediary off-chain signer means transactions are direct and quick. Users should notice substantially faster execution speed as well as faster pricing quotes when making swaps, deposits, or withdrawals. .: At-Will Guru Fee Harvesting Gurus can now harvest fees at the time of their choosing, avoiding a situation where they cannot claim fees simply because users have not withdrawn. When a user makes a withdrawal in profit under the price where a Guru has already harvested fees, they will not have to pay fees because the fees were "already collected". .: Fund Rebalancing (coming soon) As a guru, adjust the weights of the assets held in the fund. Only the appropriate amount will be swapped for each token. > If you already have a fund in the current dapp, an option to migrate a current fund to a lotus fund will be available soon. All new funds created on the dapp will be lotus funds. Fund creation fees will be reduced by 50% for 2 weeks. Thanks all.

Gurus, the Lotus update has officially completed all testing rounds and is now ready for a public release. This has been one of our most anticipated upgrades, and we wanted to make sure everything was dialed in before going live. Built entirely from the ground up with no VC funding — just the team and the community. Lotus will officially be launching this March.

5/ What the team DOES have control over is our own dapp, that interfaces with the contracts. Anyone can interact with the contracts on-chain, this way funds will always be available even without website access

How Lotus achieves trustless asset management, technically 🧵

Most DeFi protocols say they’re trustless. Most of them aren’t — at least not fully. There’s usually an admin key, an upgradeable proxy, or critical components that exist off-chain. “Decentralized” has become a buzzword that’s lost much of its original meaning. We’ll be sharing more soon on Lotus and why true decentralization is a core part of its design.

Protocol TVL currently stands at $315,000, distributed across 117 live funds and managed by 81 Gurus executing unique strategies. To date, 915,000 $GURU tokens, approximately 0.91% of total supply, have been permanently burned through the protocol’s buyback and burn mechanisms.
