So right , there is no excuse, explanation, context or background that is relevant. Three women have been murdered in the continuing epidemic of violence against women & girls . My condolences & thoughts are for their family & friends .

Can we once and for all dispense with this tedious "But he always took the bins out and said hello" commentary, as if there was a contradiction here that needed explaining. Violent men ARE "nice guys". They're nice to everyone but the women they abuse. That's the whole point.

The independent review of the NMC is a familiar but depressing read .Cultures can be changed with a united & talented top team , creative & courageous HR & a belief in the experiences that staff report . This is a critical regulator no change is not an option
