@LucyXIV There is a general consensus of fear of Australians along American alcohol drinkers because we know you guys are so much better. Comedians talk about it how if Australians show up you know they're gonna get too drunk and say something funnier than your jokes

@mobydickenergy I own this novel and have tried to read it several times, every time I do I end up with like, a severe cold/flu. My assumption is that I only think to read it when I'm already feeling sick, and can't go out, but still, That book is cursed for me.

i read Dracula by Bram Stoker recently and it's so much weirder than i thought! theres multiple chapters about how cool stenography is. lots of train schedules. a lot of (inaccurate) excitement about blood transfusions. a much better horror novel in the middle about a doomed ship
