That day is today. I'll talk about all the relevant highlights from my reading of "Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook" by Mark Bray. I initially read this in August 2017, so all of my highlights and notes are from that time period. Let's begin. 🧵

One day, I'll do a thread going over my highlighted portions of "Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook" by Mark Bray. Look at this. Every one of those flags represents something in the book I highlighted.

Also, of note, all of the women I ran this hypo by before posting said that the man would be a deadbeat because "he was already a father for years, so he has to be a father forever." Just an interesting common factor.

So, a hypothetical. A man finds out his wife cheated on him, and their young son is not his. The bio dad wants to be in the kid's life as his father. The wife is okay with this. The man wants to leave them both, not wanting to help raise someone else's kid. Is he a deadbeat?

@VincentNlko I agree. But saying that this is the one that gives the anti-Trump crowd a free pass to jump for joy when he dies is just shortsighted.

@TheHat2 @MarkMannX I.... well what I'll say is and maybe it's because I'm still viewing Simpsons as pre-sam Simon's death but they weren't so heavy-handed for the first 20 years and maybe I'm still having a delay reconciling with how fucked up they are now. They've gone the way of Family Guy

@MarkMannX @deeplyoffensive I doubt it, considering they got close to a billion from the Paramount deal. I don't really know why they did what they did. Maybe it's a more severe case of TDS than we thought.

@MarkMannX @deeplyoffensive I expect this of The Simpsons. I honestly didn't expect South Park to run the exact same joke over and over like it was still funny for an entire season. Hell, even they acknowledged the "aides = AIDS" joke was beating a dead horse in that episode. I just expect better.

If she's playing Aslan, I entirely expect the arguments in support of the decision to center around three specific talking points: "It's a magical lion." "Female lions can grow manes." "God is actually nonbinary."
NarniaWeb@NarniaWeb

Nearly a year has passed since reports first indicated that Meryl Streep was in talks to portray Aslan in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming ‘NARNIA’ adaptation. An interview now appears to finally confirm her involvement, though not specifically as Aslan. 🔗: narniaweb.com/2026/03/emma-m…

All of this—streamer culture, games journalism's failings, and developer/publisher moral posturing—has led to the downfall of gaming, imo. I yearn for the days where an announcement of a new game in a franchise was met with fanfare instead of a question of what'll be fucked up.

And yeah, there is blame that lies with the games journalists for fucking up their industry and giving more influence to streamers. And more blame on the industry who decided a decade ago that the "modern audience" would be more lucrative than the core demo. Which it wasn't.
