From Zero background in media to making over 20 stories in media general! A chapter closes and another begins. My time with Media General has been nothing short of an incredible journey filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable opportunities. I walked in as a business student who somehow found myself in the newsroom confused, unsure, and almost certain I didn’t fit. That first week was a struggle, but everything changed because of the amazing mentors and professional leaders who guided me. With zero background in media or communication studies, I was patiently trained in news production, reporting, and story writing. Today, I’m not only proud but deeply humbled to have produced 26 stories as an intern 20 published on 3News.com, 3 on Onua Online, and 3 aired on TV. I am profoundly grateful to every incredible person I met at Media General especially Boss Cyril, Aunty Keminni, Senior Crosby, Wisdom, and my senior editors Boss Eric, Boss Felix, Boss Laud, and Lawyer Dennis. You all shaped my thinking, sharpened my storytelling, and transformed my journey. Thank you for believing in me and helping me find my voice.
