Making it into academia is very difficult. Making it during this pandemic? Next to impossible! I spent most of my first postdoc year in lockdown. I wasn’t very productive and barely made a dent in my CV. Grants/awards? None were successful… @AcademicChatter @OpenAcademics 1/

Just a friendly reminder that race and ethnicity are social constructs. Human DNA is 99.9% similar across all groups. And there is more genetic diversity within a single racial/ethnic group than between two or more groups.
