Opus 4.8 feedback
Clear improvement.
I won’t leak my benchmark,
but here are a few free observations.
Seeing more people say Opus flips too fast between decisions once it gets pushback.
Honestly?
That sounds like a workflow problem.
The discussion quality improved massively.
Edge cases are broader.
Reasoning goes deeper.
It looks beyond the obvious more often.
If it keeps folding in your sessions,
maybe you’re training the conversation to reward agreement.
Don’t treat it like a yes-machine.
Make it argue.
Make it defend.
Make it compare tradeoffs.
Hate me if you disagree
but the output quality is clearly better.
What are your experiences?

Some context on the updated PDF report.
I’m currently doing the code, architecture, and infrastructure work without a team.
And yes - I use AI tools.
Openly.
It would be absurd to build future technology
while refusing to work with future tools.
AI is an accelerator.
Not a replacement.
It does not replace direction.
It does not replace architecture.
It does not replace responsibility.
It does not replace taste.
And it definitely does not replace execution.
If anyone thinks AI is doing “all the work” here,
feel free to build the same thing.
You’ll understand the difference pretty quickly.
Also - my English is terrible without help.
So yes, I use help for that too.
Otherwise half of this wouldn’t even be readable.
That’s exactly why feedback matters - especially when it’s about things that are hard to understand from the outside:
metrics, data foundation, comparability, structure, due diligence.
I received feedback.
So I adjusted the report.
Not as investor bait.
Not for attention.
As proof of work.
As a progress document.
The goal is not to expose every internal edge.
That would be stupid.
The goal is to create enough clarity so people can actually understand what is being built here.
kas.me is not some random quant garage experiment.
I’m building a FinTech startup - with infrastructure, data, models, reports, oracles, and an execution layer behind it.
I make mistakes.
I miss things.
I’m still inexperienced in some areas.
But that’s exactly why I document the journey as cleanly as I can.
Not for applause.
Not for impressions.
For myself.
For the journey.
For my independence.
If something is unclear: ask.
If the criticism is constructive: I listen.
If something important is missing from the report: I take it seriously.
I did have to smile a bit when someone told me that reports like this might reveal my market edge.
Maybe.
But if you’re never willing to show what you’re capable of, don’t expect people to understand what you’re building.
Feedback received.
Report adjusted.
We keep moving.
Always.

I think you’ll really like Opus 4.8
It’s as smart as its benchmarks show but expresses and utilizes that intelligence in a warm and collaborative way.
Workflows are a great way to utilize it- I’m hooked. Article on that soon.
