Imogen Greene - Leaving QLD Sept '26

📢📢 she's a long one, not sorry! Brisbane, I love you, but our time together is coming to an end. Towards the end of this year, I’ll be closing a chapter that began eight years ago with a spontaneous decision to step completely out of my comfort zone. I left behind everyone and everything I knew to move to a city where I knew no one. That version of me doesn’t exist anymore. That move required me to shed one skin and grow into someone new and now, I can feel that same pull again. It’s time to do it once more. The 2020s have been heavy for many of us, full of so many triumphs and plenty of tribulations but 2025 broke me in ways I didn’t see coming. It also cracked me open. It forced me to reflect, to slow down, and to really listen to what my heart has been asking for. I’ve learned that life is far too short to stay stuck out of fear, familiarity or complacency. As they say you can’t keep doing the same things and hope for different results, sometimes you have to be brave enough to choose yourself. I debated sharing this publicly, especially after my failed attempt to leave Queensland in 2022, something that was entirely out of my control and left me feeling more exposed than I’d like to admit. It made me hesitant, worried I’d sound like the girl who cried wolf or someone announcing their retirement every year. But growth isn’t always linear, and timing matters. This time feels different. This time feels right. As of mid-September 2026, I will no longer be living in the perpetually humid state we call Queensland and I can't wait! Nor can my hair lol IYKYK. A small circle knows where I’m headed next, but I’m not quite ready to share that chapter with the whole world just yet. To the wonderful people who have chosen to spend time with me: I will still travel interstate occasionally, though far less frequently than before, and consultations will require a little more forward planning. In many cases, it may look like someone flying to someone specifically.... and honestly, I don’t hate the idea of that at all. To my friends, chosen family, and the people who have held me through the best and hardest moments of these years, thank you. Brisbane has given me growth, resilience, laughter, heartbreak, and memories I will carry forever. This place helped shape the woman I am today. This isn’t a goodbye just yet. It’s simply me honouring the next version of myself, and trusting that what’s ahead is worth the leap. Imogen xo

@TheImogenGreene No one knows where Tweed in NSW is so I tend to say Gold Coast as people know where that is.

When you ask for someone's city and they say NSW lol I fear for the state of our education system in this country.

Most replies are from the age prior to mobile phones and direct messaging, but prior to social media we used to text a lot 😅 and used txt spk to save on characters because phones were prepaid and it cost credit to send a text. Too much texting & you could be out of credit until your parent topped you up At home there was direct messaging (IM, MSN messenger, likely others I’ve forgotten) on the computer. You’ll text your friend to jump online to message them to save phone credit 😆 At school we also used Neopets mail to get past some of the school filters on the computers 😅

People who were teenagers before social media existed… how did you communicate with your friends???

I just can't with Euphoria, I tried watching a bit of the first season and just couldn't get into it. Everything I've seen on my TL about season 3 looks ridiculous. I can't tell if it's just that I don't like Sydney Sweeny or if it's the terrible plot and acting.

You have to understand which Vitamins you’re taking in order to decide when is best to consume them. For example, Vit A,D,E,K are fat soluble, and therefore should be consumed with meals that have fats. Not necessarily AM vs PM decision.

ADHD explained 👌 Totally me, get the groceries from the car, start unpacking, put stuff in laundry, see washing needs doing, go upstairs to get the rest of washing from bathroom, see bathroom needs cleaning, start cleaning, empty the bottle of cleaner, go downstairs to put it in the bin......OHHHH there's groceries on the bench 🤦‍♀️ I swear it gets worse as you get older haha.
