This is the first time Syrian forces have joined a military exercise outside Syria since the country's restructuring. 502 Libyan troops — from both east and west — are also participating in EFES-2026 under a single Libyan flag. It's the first time the Libyan Army has trained outside Libya. Türkiyes's EFES-2026 brings together 10,000+ troops and observers from ~50 countries for its largest combined live-fire exercise of the year.
