Yeah… I just use a decent peat free compost for my seed sowing - which has worked fine for the 4 to 5000 plants now growing on in 1.5 litre pots #gardenersworld

Work that national plant collections holders also do. There are at least 2cultivars of cosmos I know will dsiappear unless someone saves the seed etc. Yes - meds - hollyhocks & kidney stones. Or cosmos and how it can reduce methane in cows (climate issues etc) #gardenersworld
