The renovation of the Mid-Century 640 East Armour is nearing completion. It’s another one of Mac Properties’s Midtown projects, all of which have either preserved buildings or built new ones. The new project at the southwest corner of Main and Armour is still planned.

Update from the Mayor.

Arnold Development Group has submitted a height application to the FAA for their proposed tower at 9th and Central. The tower is one piece of a 4 building project that'll ultimately yield 695 apartments, 1653 parking spaces, office and retail space. thekcpulse.com/2025/10/30/27-…

@SunfishBreeze There are 2 data centers in downtown Kansas City in large buildings. You don’t even hear them when you’re right up next to them, so how are you going to hear them when you’re several miles away?

- Will be powered by Natural Gas Fuel Cells rather than being connected to the standard grid. - 180 gallons per minute flow rate in the "closed loop system". I'll have more details & comments from attendees of the meeting in an upcoming post (likely posted tomorrow or this week)

I just got done sitting in on a Downtown Neighborhood Association Meeting with the development team for this project. A post will come soon, but key details: - Data Center with Ground Floor Retail Space - 384ft tall - Clad in brick, glass & metal - No incentives are being sought

Follow-up: the parking lot plans.

The recently reopened south side park and entrance of City Hall with the statue of Abraham and Tad Lincoln.

These buildings at Admiral and McGee were supposed to become a small jazz themed hotel and music bar. No progress has been made.

The former Embassy Suites at 43rd and Broadway will soon be torn down for a new surface parking lot for St. Luke’s.

And another new building at 28th and Forest. Not sure the name of this one.
