@kurt13warner Penix vs Texas this year is fantastic film. There were some mitigating injury issues for him during the middle of this season. But outside of that, the more you watch of what he did these past 2 seasons, the more special he appears. His poise under pressure is truly elite.

Ive now watched 4 games of Williams, Daniels, Maye & Penix, felt 2 best games I’ve seen are Daniels vs Miss St/ Penix vs Oregon in terms of playing QB more down the field (not quicks & screens), outside of that it’s been very average IMO, so tell me games I’m missing for those 4? To clarify, they have ALL made some great plays in one way or another, I’m simply talking making good decisions & on-time throws down the field on a consistent basis…

Reading all these Mock Drafts and not 1 single mock has Penix in the first round, Idgaf that he'll be 24, or he has "injury concerns" Michael penix Jr deserves to be a first round pick watching him play the last 2 years was a treat and he's a UW legend forever, 9 is Him

@tjdissect You watch all of his other games. Including a bunch against big time programs / defenses. This is like saying “I don’t know how you watch the Sugar Bowl vs Texas - with their vaunted defensive front - and not come away thinking there are zero concerns about his game.”

I don't know how you could watch the national championship and not come away terrified about Michael Penix(#9).

Michael Penix’s performance against Texas in the Sugar Bowl is actually one of the greatest College Football Playoff performances we will ever see. It’s been forgotten already in a sense, but the ball placement and accuracy was actually ridiculous. All over the field.

@MollyAMcGrath He’s the best QB in this class. People will think that’s crazy because of what they’re being told right now. In a couple years, they’ll wonder how teams passed on him. Imagine a stronger armed CJ Stroud, with Burrow’s calm under pressure. Anyone can get hurt. He’s the #1 pick.

Watching him throw in person is jaw-dropping. Tape doesn’t do Penix justice.

Michael Penix Jr. may have the most NFL-ready arm talent of any player in the 2024 NFL Draft. This is simply a RIDICULOUS throw to Rome Odunze, almost 50 field yards from the far hash—about 60+ air yards with perfect ball placement.

@WestCoastCFB ESPN computers hate UW. All of last year they had UW at like 18th when clearly UW was top 2 in the country.

Patriots OLB coach Steve Belichick has now accepted the position to become the University of Washington’s defensive coordinator. After 12 seasons coaching in the NFL with the Patriots, he heads to the college ranks in a coordinator capacity.
