Ist Christian Ulmen katholisch? - Oder evangelisch? Wir müssen doch wissen, welche Glaubensrichtung wir jetzt pauschal verurteilen müssen. Machen wir bei Muslimen ja auch 🤔

It’s over: Nintendo has announced that starting in May new physical games will get more expensive in the Americas. This was already a thing in Europe where physical games are usually 10 euros more expensive. Pokémon Winds and Waves $80 physical (or more) all but confirmed now.

@JuiceMan_V @CaponeToneTony Mario Kart World 80€/90€ vs. 80$ Mario Tennis Fever 70€/80€ vs. 70$ Yoshi 60€/70€ vs. 60$/70$ Can you not see it?

@CaponeToneTony I could be wrong, but I think some of these accounts saw EU digital pricing and automatically pinned that to US prices, so people on this app ran with that.

@CEOofGreatness @NintyPrime Because it was literally the case in europe last year. 10€ more for physical. Yoshi is just general 10€ cheaper, also in europe compared to Hyrule Warrios, Mario Tenns and Kirby Air Riders

There it is. Nintendo ain't messing around. No, games aren't going to go up in price. Not happening. According to them. So this is nothing other than digital games are just cheaper now. Take it, or leave it.
Wario64@Wario64

Nintendo: "The cost of physical games is not going up. "This means that when Nintendo sells digital versions of Nintendo published games exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 to consumers in the U.S., those prices will have an MSRP that is lower than their physical counterparts." ign.com/articles/ninte…

@wariocolosseum We will see it in a few months once more games get released. But Europe and US will continue to have the same price. They just decided that Yoshi is less worth then Hyrule Warriors or Mario Tennis Fever. Or that those games were too expensive. For that you can be happy

@TheChrisPranger @kitosan It is, since its also 60€ for Yoshi in europe. We have the physical vs. digital pricing already since last year in europe. 70€ digital and 80€ physical for mario tennis, kirby air riders and hyrule warriors and 80€ digital and 90€ physical for mario kart world.

@kitosan I'm intensely worried that Yoshi would have been $60 normally, and that a game like Pokemon gen 10 would have been $80, becoming $90.

I think we won't actually know what's going on until we see the prices for more games beyond Yoshi. It seems the news is being interpreted in many different ways based on what Nintendo has shared. As always, it's OK to change your mind when we get new info later!
Ultralion@TyperKamen

@KitandKrysta @kitosan This poll is misleading and it takes away what is truly happening in this scenario. What Nintendo is doing is lowering digital price while maintaining the physical price. Everything else that is being said online at the moment is just speculation for engagement and clicks

@kitosan Just compare the euro prices (which already has the same system since last year) to the dollar prices now Mario Kart World 80€/90€ vs. 80$ Mario Tennis Fever 70€/80€ vs. 70$ Yoshi 60€/70€ vs. 60$/70$ If dollar would be 50$/60$ then they would made it indeed cheaper

Yoshi is doing $59.99 Digital/$69.99 physical, curious if that's gonna be the new norm (essentially price dropping 1st party digitals by $10), or if it's just a cheaper game to start with and we're gonna see more 70/80 games soon.
