Panama City is really bad for this considering that most see it as one of the region's more civilized places. I once brought a redhead girl here and watched a guy slowly, unintentionally drive into a ditch because he was craning out the window to leer at her after passing us lol

@Scotian82 Bogota's Gringo Tuesday's had an impressively long lifespan of greatness! I'm not sure what it is that makes these events decline so much faster these days. Perhaps just the fact that there are many more tourists around big Latam cities than 10–15 years ago!

After about a year or less, these types of "international parties" tend to devolve into a rather sad, dysgenic carnival of locals and foreigners alike. That said, if you catch them within the first few months of launching, you can still meet some cool people

More bars/clubs should do this. This is a place in Mexico City called Departmento. Every Tuesday they have an “international party” People are encouraged to come alone and make friends. They have activities for the sole purpose of introducing strangers to each other. They welcome people from all over the world. I stopped by one night - maybe the friendliest people at a bar I’ve ever encountered.
