no not losing sleep or upset. I tweeted that while at the gym because i had a passing thought about it. i can see why it seems it's tribalistic but i'm actually game agnostic. I just enjoy wuwa so I post about it. I was just playing HSR last night. etc. I dont buy into tribalism at all and think it's stupid. This tweet was more specifically targetted at the wuwa community in that I hoped they wouldnt be buying into tribalism anymore since it's useless because wuwa is clearly trying to be the best version of itself. But, I dunno, I guess it doesn't make sense to some folks.

Is tribalism still happening in the wuwa space? It really shouldn't. Nor should people partake in it. I was thinking that the only competition wuwa has is with itself at this point. It's clear to me that Kuro is trying to legitimize wuwa to be a competitor not in the gacha game space but in the AAA space. Largely succeeding, id say. I do think the monetization model holds them back from a wider variety of gamers, which I can't blame them for. But I really don't think KURO should be compared to other games really. It's clear they're trying to 1-up themselves and never stagnate. I like that.

You're not competing with others to be the best. your competition is YOU. to make the best videos YOU can make so people naturally want to watch YOU. that's the whole point im trying to make. You are working hard and shouldn't be compared to others because YOU are doing YOUR thing and are an individual. But YOU are striving to be the best and be viewed by the larger space as valuable and important. Do you see what I'm saying?

I don't think I said anything inflammatory by saying the only competition it has is with itself. I'm not saying it's the best game ever made, even I don't feel that way. But it's ridiculous that saying it shouldn't be compared to other games is seen as fueling the fire. I'm not even sucking their dick. They continuously attempt to improve their own game every patch. Sometimes they succeed, sometimes they miss but they are trying to. And with the collabs they're reaching for it's obvious they want to be marketed to the AAA space and not the gacha bubble. Nothing I said Is inflammatory. I didn't say I hate genshin or star rail sucks and wuwa is better. I don't even feel that way, which is why I said they're in competition with themselves. It's clear they want to be an amazing game. That's it. I suppose you're right that my statement can be viewed as you say but that's just looking for reasons for a fight. Which is sad.

You don't need to mention my self awareness in your comment. Tribalism shouldn't happen because kuro is in a competition with itself to be the best game it can be. It's trying to be more than a gacha game. It's obvious they want it to be a AAA game that is held back by its monetization model. I'm not putting other games down. I'm not saying x is an inferior product to y. Therefore this is why y is the best. I'm not saying that. That would be tribalism.

@BranOnlineTV Tbh ever since Genshin anniversaries, the more popular gacha anniversaries have been lackluster. HSR and ZZZ anniversaries are good but thats based on the lower bar that I have nowadays. So I dont judge people for being ok with it. But I do strongly believe they should be better

Idk if its just me but I've become kinda tainted with Gacha anniversaries, currency rewards never meant anything to me whether I spend or not but I've learnt to understand/accept people's frustrations. I'd personally WAY prefer a cool skin/cosmetic showing you were there for it

@Marcodmeatball are the devs opportunity to try and at least balance out the transaction. You have either played our game daily enough for us to succeed or given us ample amounts of money. So gachas, especially successful ones, are obligated to give more back to their playerbase.

@Marcodmeatball Gacha games ask for me from the player than regular games. Typically other games you buy the game and thats essentially it from what they ask from the consumer. For gachas you either give them more and more money or play the game daily to get the "free" rewards. Anniversaries...

I have a genuine question. Why do people expect to be rewarded or gifted for playing a game? This phenomenon still throws me off. I have never played a game before that gave me a gift for playing it. Especially when I didn't pay for something. It's something I think I've only seen in the gacha games circuit. Again, genuinely asking. Like I play a LOT of games that are live service/MMO/f2p and I don't really see that in any other game unless I'm forgetting something.
