@WORLDWIDEW23954 @varrock We have guns. Just not as many and much harder to procure.
English

@thelucentcomic @varrock At least we still have our guns. Too soon, Australian?
English

@thelucentcomic @varrock Melting pot of Europeans, maybe.
English, Italian, Irish… countries that fought for hundreds of years, all coming to America to start over with a dream.
Then the others showed up… and fucked it up.
English

@PWestoff Amazing how quickly they can bring out the heavy artillery against the natives, but against invaders they’re supposedly defenseless.
English

@TechMex505 @varrock Ahh.. ok. I never looked at it like that. I always saw it as everyone's culture is supposed to melt into a homogenous globalist slop. I agree with it the way you're describing it, and it worked that way in Australia for decades.
English

@thelucentcomic @varrock It WAS a good metaphor. It implies you melt and become part of America. Briging your tallent but becoming part of the whole. This is no longer the case. MOST Immigrants don't even bother learning the language anymore, they have no interest in becoming American.
English

@KAMbot1138 It's something I appreciated, especially in today's world where writers want to bang you over the head with their opinions. As he would put it, questions upon questions.
English

@thelucentcomic Yes, and that's probably the best answer.
Herbert seems to leave a lot open for the reader to consider.
English

@KAMbot1138 lol, well, something I like about the series on the whole is it's a never ending series of questions. A lot of it is left up to interpretation.
English

@thelucentcomic Interesting discussion, but not really possible here.
But I will mark your answer for my own personal tally.

@SplinteredBlake @inversobrio @ItIsHoeMath Hoe math is great. At most I can imagine these women are accepting putting out with being exclusive, because the men are so attractive.
English

@thelucentcomic @inversobrio This guy @ItIsHoeMath explains it waaay better than I ever will.
I don’t know if this is his best video to answer your question, but it should address it at least somewhat.

@thelucentcomic @varrock It can be, but there has to be time for assimilation. Too many were allowed to immigrate in too short a time
English

I just backed Star Noir: Book Four on @Kickstarter kickstarter.com/projects/starn… and you can too! 👽
English

@Blippedyblop I need to get one of those Ixian cameras.
English

@WORLDWIDEW23954 @TheAdmiral69420 It is something very special, that’s for sure.
English

@thelucentcomic @TheAdmiral69420 Dune…. I’ve read at least a dozen times…. The rest, I’ve read at least once. The first book is near perfect.
English

@CRANBERRYLANGRS It was recommended by so many people, there must be something there.
English

@thelucentcomic Oh YEAHH... You said you were interested in that series if I recall!
English

I can totally understand people seeing it that way, as they stray a long way from the original setting. But for me, Children of Dune and God Emperor are such philosophical stories, with a lot of the driving force about looking inwards and thinking. The final two books take what's been established and put it all in motion in the real world. I loved them.
English

@thelucentcomic Nice, I'll have to go back and finish it, stopped in middle school after God Emperor. Always heard the ending kinda went off the rails, I'll have to check it out.
English

@thelucentcomic Do the Barsoom series, Fahrenheit 451, or Ender's Game.
