Gnosticism was inspired ~400BC by Plato and Zoroastrianism. It is essentially a Science, not a Religion. Religion is a Belief System. Science is weighing the Evidence by asking Questions. Gnosis is Knowing, without a shred of doubt, because you never stopped educating yourself and refining what you truely understand from experience. Doubt should cause us to question. Religion provides answers for you to believe in. Belief is the Mind Killer. Never stop asking questions, never assume belief. If you don't know, then go learn about it. Gnosis comes from refining your experience in Knowing.
