Thread! Here's a writeup of something I've been wanting to try for a long time, a qwerty handheld with custom-designed silicone keyboard. The display used is the @pimoroni 4" 720x720 square "HyperPixel". It's still an early non-functional prototype but I think it has potential!

@tablatronix To follow up on this, it arrived and I am quite impressed. There is a magnet in the base which triggers it to turn on and when you lift it, and cool down when you set it down. It has both temperature and airflow settings. Worked well for both melting solder paste and desoldering.
