@anguschampion It’s almost as if the impact of things like proprietary trading for TradFi in 07/08 are amplified in unregulated markets. Regulation is needed for mass adoption since it creates trust with a non-early adopter public. Decentralized self-enforcement has yet to achieve the same.

So yeah, if you’re going to tweet about how we need leadership and better self regulation, then start it yourself. Propose that framework. Show the industry how you will stop all the bad activity and allow the good. Get everyone onboard. Or stop pretending things will change. /8

A thread on these self reflection threads we’re seeing post-FTX. We have this apparent self reflection after every blowup. They say “we need to remove bad actors. They say “we need to better self regulate”. They blame the media and regulators. Then people do nothing. /1
