For the people complaining that Homelander didn’t go “scorched earth” and kill a bunch of people… I have a recommendation. Go watch Invincible. I don’t care if “you don’t watch animation”… suck it up, because whatever you thought the ending of The Boys was going to be like, Invincible does it 100x better. I promise you, give it a watch. You won’t regret it.

If it’s not I’ll 100% own up to it and admit I’m a sack of worthless bones But everyone who’s been working on the show seems to be doing and saying a lot of damage control type interviews for this finale.. which shows no confidence Either that or they’re genius and it’s actually insanely good and they’re just underselling it

Hey @PrimeVideo Let this be a teaching moment, when the boys finale is released next week and it ends up being a hot pile of dogshit… Maybe you could now allocate the funds that you gave this show (your 2nd biggest show) to invincible (your biggest show) and have them increase production so you don’t have another one of your best shows have a dogshit finale!

The Boys as an entire show is about a 9/10 I’d extremely recommend anyone to watch it Season 5 definitely had its downs.. arguably the worst season of them all despite it being the very last season However, the finale was good. Not amazing as they didn’t really show a lot of things that were teased, like homelander killing thousands in public, they also hyped up Gen-v for them to be utterly non-existent in the show and finale. It was bitter sweet, and butcher getting the finale blow on homelander was needed. Same could be said with hughie killing butcher. Some very nice little moments too, like hughie being in front of the store and the street it all started on, their kids name, etc. However, it was all very rushed. Also with homelander having that juiced V1 you’d think he’d easily take down butcher and Ryan before the blast. I think if they were given another 2-3 episodes it could have been alot better, but for that being the last episode I think it’s fine, not amazing, but fine. I’d give it an 8/10 personally
