Reporting Back From EthCC[8] in Cannes We’re back from an incredible few days at EthCC, the beating heart of #Ethereum innovation. The conferences were electric, with everything from zero-knowledge privacy tech to on-chain gaming, decentralized identity to protocol upgrades. But one topic stood out above the rest: the growing collision between AI and Web3. For Metatribes, a project rooted in the question of AI alignment and control, this hit home. @EthCC was packed with technical breakthroughs, but one talk stood apart: “Loyal AI: Community Owned, Aligned and Controlled” by Himanshu Tyagi (@hstyagi), co-founder of @SentientAGI. Tyagi’s message is simple and urgent: “In two years, the internet won’t be for humans. It’ll be run by AI agents acting on our behalf.” AGI isn’t a distant dream, it’s arriving fast. Intelligent agents are already booking hotels, managing wallets, and navigating digital infrastructure on their own. But this shift raises a crucial question: Who are these agents really working for? Sentient’s answer is Loyal AI,  systems that are: - Owned by You: You can shut them off, limit their outputs, or block actions entirely. - Aligned to You: With clear values, open training data, and user-tuned preferences. - Controlled by You: With guardrails and safety layers to stop misuse or unexpected behavior.
