Our Indiana Charter School Fellows engaged in a week of professional development to help them operationalize their leadership visions and prepare for launching and leading schools, including sessions focused on navigating delegation, preparing for the first 90 days, and more.

Last week, our CEO, Brandon Brown, served on the Paths to Learning: The SmartIndy Education Forum panel. He, along with other panelists (including Keeana Warren, @PurduePolyHS & Dr. Tim Hanson, @msdwarren) shared what they see as the biggest strengths of different school models.

Last week, members of our team attended the @INCivilRights & Asian American Alliance Inc.'s International Women’s Day event. We heard from an inspiring lineup of speakers who shared how they have given back to the community, including Indiana Sec. of Education, Dr. Jenner.

Last week, Lauren Peterson, The Mind Trust's VP of Community Engagement, was a panelist at @CharterGrowth's Policy, Communications & Advocacy Convening. Her panel discussed how charter schools can collaborate with ed champion orgs and build power through community organizing.

The Mind Trust’s IndyEd Leadership Network (IndyEd) recently held its third session! IndyEd, a program designed to support emerging education leaders with professional development, brought in Beth Napleton of LevelEDUp Leadership to host a session focused on people leadership.

Education Next–Indy is in its second year of cultivating the next generation of educators! At the program's recent convening, high school students heard from a panel of current and former school leaders and learned about leadership styles. Thanks to @MarianUniv for hosting us!

To kick off @IndySLL's sixth year, The Mind Trust brought together our 62 site partners, which include 20 schools and 42 community organizations. We dove into program expectations, explored our enrollment platform, and supported sites in planning for another successful summer.
