How is this ANY different than using copy/paste to do the ground textures of Super Mario Bros? Because NOBODY sat there and individually drew every tile of those floors. They drew it once then dropped it in repeatedly.

@tom_gli @SpawnYaardReply force devs to commit time and resources to frivolous things that don't affect the story or the world. I would understand if the painting was of, like, a space battle from Star Wars. But this? If it wasn't pointed out, I tell you now, I'd have never noticed.

Crimson Desert has apologized for usage of AI art and is working to replace it.
I found it yesterday. It's in the building right before Hornsplitter mission.
"During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools.
Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it.
We sincerely apologize for these oversights.
Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches."

People want to complain about long development times, yet want to take away the very tools that would SHORTEN those times. Make it make sense!

Today, they'd be able to do the exact same thing in at least half the time with a well-worded prompt. It wouldn't change the game play, the mechanics, or ANYTHING else. And people would rip their hair out. What is the difference having one (cont)

Caring about AI being used to create assets in Crimson Desert is like refusing to eat at a restaurant because you found out they used a food processor instead of hand chopping the onions.
Only the anti-AI social media bros care.
Nobody else does. It's a great game. AI is a tool. Every studio will use it, and they should.

These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

Jet fuel burns at a temperature of 1500 F.
Steel melts at a temperature of 2750 F. Yet on 9/11, molten iron was seen pouring out of the Twin Towers that continued burning for many weeks thereafter in the basement ruins. Workers at the scene claimed that this molten iron was seen flowing like lava.
How could this be? What could have caused this steel to melt?
A team of scientists from around the world collected soil samples from the debris field for analysis and discovered a highly incendiary substance called Nano Thermite, which burns at a temperature in excess of 4000 F,
There can be no alternative explanation as to how the steel was melted.
This evidence was presented to the Department of Justice by the Lawyers Committee for 9/11 inquiry. No action was taken.
The Lawyers Committee then took this evidence and much more all the way to the US Supreme Court that refused to hear the case.
