@dannysullivan @searchliaison Can you suggest a way to fix our rich result descriptions? They’re displaying our ingredients rather than our recipe summary, which is defined in both our meta description tag as well as our schema recipe description. Can we control this somehow?

@dannysullivan @searchliaison Y’all suggested that we wait this out but we’re continuing to see reduced organic traffic since March. GSC and SEMRush like our code and we know people love our recipes. Is there another service available to figure out what Google wants from us?

@BroadseaThomas @searchliaison @dannysullivan At the end of the day, we have a growing library of over 1100 beautiful, delicious, human-written recipes that we know people love. It’s just a matter of understanding how Google wants us to present them.

@BroadseaThomas @searchliaison @dannysullivan Disappointed but hopeful. We lost a lot of organic traffic this month but we feel like we learned a lot about who we are and the value of our recipes. We’ve become more intentional in what we post, when we post it, and how we approach writing it.

@searchliaison Hey @dannysullivan we’ve lost a lot of our long-standing rankings to this March Core Update (I’m assuming) and we’re not seeing them bounce back. Can you suggest a resource for non-wordpress SEO site auditing? We’re passing Search Console just fine. Please help.

@searchliaison @dannysullivan We are one of the few non-wordpress food sites on the whole of the internet. It definitely has its advantages, but in times like these, I’m always anxious that the industry is going to force us to migrate over in order to play ball. Thankfully, I don’t think that time has come.

@searchliaison @dannysullivan Thanks @searchliaison, we appreciate your response. We are working with a site auditor and they’re helping us feel like maybe we haven’t lost our minds and there are actionable steps around our content to sort things out and hopefully find some traction.

We’ve had quite a bit of trouble landing in the recipe carousel with other posts as well. This is a new issue for us. The google schema tests all pass just fine. I’m curious if you have any thoughts or suggestions as to how we can force an update on those cached results? Thanks.
