@hungrygyal @mmintey_ You've never been a Muslim country, have you?
You people are quick to doubt mainstream news but when it's about people you don't like, it's true!
English

@TheMontyTimes @mmintey_ “Choice” don’t make me laugh 💀💀 yeah something conditioned to you from childhood and seen as a sin and you will go to hell is definitely a choice 😂 also mandatory in Islamic countries where you will get prosecuted and probably killed yeahhh definitely a choice

why would you want to oppress a fictional woman too? she isn’t mogging shit i’m afraid
Rayan@AlaKZM4
get absolutely mogged.
English

@realkatkyoo @mmintey_ No, I'm saying it isn't compulsed upon Muslims (is that a word? Lmao)
"Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error." (Quran 2:256)"
I think it's obligatory too, but no one's gonna force you to wear it, I disagree with that.
English

@TheMontyTimes @mmintey_ Hijabs aren't optional

You say it's a 'choice' or 'personal preference' when it's really the opposite
English

@triggeredpixels @mmintey_ Have you ever even talked with a Muslim?
English

@TheMontyTimes @mmintey_ I bet a lot of slaves wanted to be slaves. So I guess slavery wasnt such a bad thing.
English

@destroyyyerrrrr @mmintey_ How come monks don't cover their heads like Nuns?
I'm not attacking anyone here.
The point is like a lot of faiths, each individual has different obligations because, in truth, they differ in their own obligations.
English

@razorsupremacis @mmintey_ I'll be personal here then. I'm a college student myself, in a western country nonetheless.
There are so many sisters here who're dorming here on their own with no family to watch them.
Your "some" is millions of people, independent individuals friend.
English

@TheMontyTimes @mmintey_ yes SOME women have a choice but we shouldn't be promoting it as a "mog" because it has deep deep roots in the oppression of women in Muslim countries/muslim households.
English

@TheMontyTimes @mmintey_ Kinda not their choice if theyre told they'd burn in hell for not wearing it, or worse beaten/raped into it. Illusion of free will
English

@coke_yuri @mmintey_ Sister, you do know there are several schools of thought and reformist methodologies in Islam that don't view the hijab as a compulsion on someone?
English

@TheMontyTimes @mmintey_ They wear it bc THEY KNOW it's obligatory in their religion. No one in their right mind would want to cover their hair, neck, and entire body for THE REST OF THEIR LIFE. I wonder why we never hear of a man covering his body from head to toe if it's just a personal preference?
English

@TheMontyTimes @mmintey_ Yes, it's their choice not to be stoned by the average Habibi.
English

@pururunpops @mmintey_ Haven't you heard? you can't think and choose for yourself apparently!
Rubish.
English

@mmintey_ @TheMontyTimes im hijabi and i chose to wear it. there doesnt have to be a “beneficial” reason just like any other accessory. just cuz ur bum ass dont wanna wear it doesnt mean some other people are the same.

@mmintey_ Well, if a Muslim woman says she chose to wear hijab, and your response is
"no you didn't, you were conditioned into it,"
then you're basically deciding you know her own thoughts better than she does, that's not right.
English

@TheMontyTimes it’s a valid generalization. the only women i’ve seen wear it of their accord are white converts
English

@mmintey_ Every woman? Gross generalization, and you know it.
English

@TheMontyTimes the hijab isn’t beneficial for a woman at all, you think they weren’t forced or coerced into wearing it? personal preference my ass
