Former LEO here but it’s impossible to tell from a 2 dimensional picture where the firearm is in relation to the child. But going off this photo, her legs are to the right hand side of the crib and it “appears” the firearm is pointing parallel to the crib thus at the wall. I have no prior knowledge of this incident but would assume there is a body cam on this officer. Especially being a Federal officer in a uniform body cams are SOP unlike investigations who wear suits.
