Coaching is about far more than wins and losses. The true measure of a coach is the impact he makes on young men on and off the field. That is the responsibility that matters most. When he took over at Riverview, it was not a destination job. Coaches weren’t lining up to take that position. He stepped in, embraced the challenge, and rebuilt the program from the ground up. He invested the time, effort, and energy to establish a culture, earn buy-in, and develop players the right way. He led with purpose, accountability, and vision creating an environment where players could grow both as athletes and as people. He is a true leader and developer of young men. And most importantly, he left the program better than he found it. Blackhawk made an outstanding hire, and there’s no doubt he will continue to make a positive, lasting impact. A+ hire
