बच्चों से बात करते हुए जवाहरलाल नेहरु की इस छोटी से क्लिप में उनके दर्शन और उनके व्यक्तित्व का थोड़ा अंदाज़ा हो जाता है: 1. नेहरु बच्चों से बात करते हुए बच्चों के स्तर तक आते हैं। उनकी बातों को बच्चे बहुत आत्मीयता के साथ ठहाके लगाकर सुनते हैं। और बिल्कुल भी असहज नहीं होते। 2. नेहरु अक्सर अपने लेखों और भाषणों में इमैजिनेटिव थिंकिंग पर ज़ोर दिया करते थे। यह सृजनात्मकता की तरफ़ बड़ा क़दम होता है। इसलिए इस क्लिप में नेहरु इस बात को कुबूलते हैं कि बच्चों को भी फिल्में देखना ज़रूरी है, और उनके लिए उनके हिसाब की फिल्में बननी चाहिए। बड़ों की फिल्में अलग होती हैं, उनका मक़सद अलग होता है। 3. जब फिल्मों की बात आती है तो नेहरु बच्चों से यह नहीं कहते कि तुम सिर्फ भारत में बनी फिल्में देखो। बल्कि कहते हैं कि बाहर की फिल्में भी देखो, उनसे बहुत कुछ सीखो। नेहरु इतिहास को समझ रखने वाले शख्स थे, वह जानते थे कि इतिहास या राजनीति को किसी एक देश की सरहदों के भीतर नहीं समझा जा सकता। और ज्ञान की परंपरा की बात करें तो ज्ञान तो तब तक अपूर्ण है जबतक हम दूसरों का अध्ययन नहीं करते। 4. बाहर की फ़िल्मों की बात करने के बाद नेहरु "गंगा जी" पर फिल्म बनाने की भी बात करते हैं। यही नेहरु की तरबियत है, उनका दर्शन है। 5. नेहरु ने अपने जीवन में जो किताबें लिखी उनमें सबसे पहली किताब अपनी बेटी के नाम चिट्ठियों के रूप में लिखी। उस किताब में उन्होंने प्रकृति, पर्यावरण, नदियों, झीलों, परिंदों, कीड़ों का ज़िक्र किया। नेहरु का प्रकृतिवादी मन यह बताता है कि नेहरु का चिंतन कितना ओरिजिनल और कितना शाश्वत है। इस क्लिप में वह बच्चों को सितारों की मिसाल दे रहे हैं। कहते हैं किसी एक सितारे को दोस्त बना लो, फिर वो तुम्हारी आंखों से कभी ओझल नहीं होगा। फिर वो आगे भीड़ की मिसाल देते हैं और कहते हैं कि भीड़ में कोई आपका जानने वाला आपका दोस्त मिल जाए तो आपको सारा जहां अपना लगने लगता है। नेहरु का सामाजिक दर्शन मैत्री और मेलजोल पर आधारित था। 6. नेहरु बच्चों से कहते हैं कि मारकाट वाली फिल्में नहीं देखो। उससे कुछ हासिल नहीं होगा। हमें आगे चलकर अच्छा देश बनाना है, और वह मारकाट से नहीं बनेगा, हिंसा से नहीं बनेगा। प्यार, मुहब्बत, सृजन और समर्पण से बनेगा। #nehru #jawaharlalnehru

Quoting from Nehru's first radio broadcast to the nation on 15 August 1947, so that we, as a nation, could learn some basics of general decency and #SelfDiscipline: "[F]reedom brings its own responsibilities and burdens and they can only be shouldered in the spirit of a free people, self-disciplined and determined to preserve and enlarge that freedom."

Maulana Hasrat Mohani, was simultaneously a member of the Congress, Muslim League and the Communist party. He was an ardent follower of Krishna in whose praise he wrote verses and turned up in Mathura for Janmashtami He also wrote the great ghazal Chupke Chupke Raat din. He was the only member of the Constituent Assembly who refused to sign the constitution, as it was according to him not truly reflective of the Indian people's needs.
