In this communication, we revisit one of the earliest reported bis(arene) sandwich complexes, [Fe(C6Me6)2] to finally solve a classic textbook question. As one of the reviewers mentioned, this is one for the organometallics purists!

An exciting collaboration with @deRuiterLabs and @Aromaticist, a few years in the making. Aryl-aryl cross-couplings with iron can proceed via radical pathways using a PCP pincer supporting ligand.
