A bad co-founder can kill a startup faster than a lack of funding. Don't choose a co-founder because you're friends. Choose one because your skills complement each other and your values align. Business disagreements are expensive. Founder disagreements are fatal.

Stop measuring progress by how much you've built. Measure it by how much you've learned. A founder can spend 6 months building and learn nothing. Another founder can spend 6 days talking to users and discover exactly what to build. The second founder is moving faster.
