@_willcompton I think the kid is gonna be a catch factory in the slot position. He’s not a #1, but definitely a K Shakir type.

@Reech___ I call BS on Yorke. He can’t hit and can’t even catch the ball at first base. He sucks

@JohnEadsWAFB Yorke better stay on the bench this weekend if we want to win any games. Can’t give Ole Miss a 3-4 spot each game from errors and auto strikeouts like Yorke did against Tenn.

"The defense becomes important, the offensive matchup becomes important" Who will Jay Johnson start at first base on Friday at Ole Miss? The Rebels have a heavy left-handed lineup and intimidating pitching staff so the decision is very important. #LSU

@stantheman31 Who cares if people trash his weight. If he wasn’t so lazy, he wouldn’t be 300lbs. He’s at fault for being so fat. I doubt his teammates love him at LSU. He can’t hit and can’t catch the ball at first base. Jay should have left him in Knoxville. GCU was glad to see him leave

@TheOmahaTracker So you not see how stupid it is to trash his weight while being too big of a pussy to have a picture of yourself on your profile? His teammates LOVE him here so I don’t care what they thought of him there

Yorke has struggled badly with the bat. His glove up until yesterday had been really good. You can tell he’s in his own head and is letting his batting effect his hitting the dude was a career .993 fielder. It’s time for him to sit and get right however the piling on has gotten ridiculous and shame on our fans for doing it. We scored one run yesterday he didn’t lose us the game. Players are going to slump and I truly believe at some point we are going to need him and Jay will have him ready to come through.

Bummer for Fontenot, because he gave you everything you needed and more. Two days in a row that 1st base and catcher defense have costed you runs. Inexcusable mistakes, too.

GAMER: Hitting and defense have hurt #LSU baseball all season. And though the Tigers have looked worse in both departments at times this year, they struggled enough in both aspects on Saturday to lose to Tennessee. nola.com/sports/lsu/lsu…

I just am not sure Yorke is an SEC dude. He seems like a great kid, and I hope he goes on a huge tear soon and proves me wrong, but find me something he does at an SEC level.

B4: Tennessee keeps on chipping in runs and taking advantage of Schmidt's mistakes. #LSU This time, he left a breaking ball over the plate in a 1-2 count, and it turned into a two-out run-scoring double.
