I went to visit my friend. We were chatting, and one gist led to another. Then she said, "My husband no sabi do love." I laughed it off, but she was like, "I’m not joking. Omo, I just experienced one of those WhatsApp scammers firsthand 😅 Caller: “My name is Mr Bamidele from Tripe Academy.” Me: “Good morning sir, how can I help you?” Caller: “Are you aware of the Zoom meeting by 8pm tonight?” Me: “No, but I’ll check it out if it’s true.” Caller: “Okay, check your SMS for a message in a foreign language with a code.” Me: I checked, nothing there. Caller: “Let me generate a new code, maybe it’s network.” At this point I was already suspicious. Then I hear someone in the background asking in pidgin who he was talking to, and he replies quietly, “na one client.” 🚩 Next thing, I receive a WhatsApp notification that someone is trying to log into my account. Me: “I’ve seen the code.” Caller: “Read it out for me.” Me: “Why do I need to send you the code?” Guy just switched instantly 😭 Caller: “Get out of here, you’re a bastard!” Me: 😂 “Ode, thief, go find better work!” He cut the call immediately. Moral of the story. Never share your WhatsApp verification code with anyone. That’s how they hijack accounts. These guys are getting bold, but once you stay sharp, their format no go work. Stay alert and be smart.

Whenever I visited my ex, he would give me money to go get foodstuffs alone, I would cook, clean, and serve while he played game. And whenever I complain of him not assisting me, he would say he has played his part by providing money. The rest are my duties. So I waited till it was his time to visit me, I made sure there was no food at my house. Just water. He asked what I cooked, and I requested money so I could go get foodstuffs. He told me I was the host, and I ought to be the one to provide the food. Immediately, I opened my purse and gave him cash to go buy foodstuffs he would cook for us since that was how he treated me too. He was confused. He thought it was a joke. I stood my ground. That night, we both slept hungry. He went back the following day and never called me again, till date.
