I’m not attacking or insulting David by saying what I’m saying about him. I had great respect for him, his work that helped wake me up, and the time I spent working with him. What I’m doing is speaking the truth. He was going through struggles, occasional delusions, and had a tough time dealing with stresses that he brought upon himself.
I think what is really insulting to David is people wanting to twist the truth for their own delusional narratives and conspiracy theories.
Sometimes the truth is boring and uncomfortable. It is what it is, you bend to it’s will or you live a lie.

“I feel great and I’m so happy!” says the influencer - well, they may be in a serious deep depression.

Examples could go on.
The performance is a defense mechanism to retain relevance, stature, or hide their true selves out of guilt and shame.

In his latest video, David Wilcock thought that the photo of Jesus that Donald Trump posted was a "message by the Alliance" suggesting Trump was the Anti-Christ, which David then believed he and Trump were connected with a scar on the ear, and this caused Wilcock to wonder "if he was a part of the Anti-Christ thing too".
Over the years Wilcock would entertain some fairly delusional stuff in his videos, but his most recent ideas indicate that his mind was spiraling into some serious self-doubt and paranoia.
He would often be positive on camera, or try to be - I think this was a coping mechanism for the struggles he was facing off camera. Looks like it was to a point where he couldn't hide it as much anymore.
