It’s weird how much staying power the word “ratchet” has had with white people. Haven’t heard a black person say it since I was in high school, but it’s still going strong with white zoomers.

@HeauxHouseOwner Again, the point I’m making is they did not put it down 😂 I’m saying it’s weird it just fully entered their lexicon beyond the trend when it didn’t for us. To my knowledge most other regions also don’t really use it, basically only where it came from, which makes sense.

@HeauxHouseOwner I mean in this scenario the people they’d have gotten the word from are still using it right? I feel like it’s kinda unusual to still use a word when the group you got it from stopped, like the white people I’m speaking about are. Not bad, just odd.
