The hidden cost of always 'doing right.' Everyone champions it. But few discuss the strategic downside. There is a critical point where good intentions actively SABOTAGE your peace.

The difference between piloting and acting. And why your intellect uses complexity to avoid making real choices. I am breaking it down in tomorrow's email. Here is the link to join: theinnerjourney.co

This is exactly why talking about it often hits a wall. The intellect shows up ready to optimize and heal, but the body is still bracing against an invisible threat. Until we learn to notice that physical contraction—the 'twist' in the gut or the shallow breath—we're just negotiating with a ghost.

The body keeps the score, sure. The more interesting question is why the person keeping the score and the person who showed up to therapy feel like two different people. It's called structural dissociation. Everyone has some version of it. Most people never learn what it is:

@thedankoe that word, 'realistic', is often the voice of the survival code running in the background. It sounds like wisdom, but it's just fear dressed up in a suit trying to keep you small. The practice isn't to fight the doubt—it's to notice it, name it, and move anyway.

If you want a rare life, you have to be delusional. Doubt can enter your mind, and it can sound reasonable, but if you entertain it too much it will slowly drag you down into stagnation. I'd rather reap the lesson from massive failure than do nothing because it's not "realistic."

Your mind replays the same scene on a loop until it feels like productive thought. But it leads nowhere new. The body remains completely still. As long as you stay seated you can remain in the in-between without engaging reality.

The intellect loves pilotage. It loves to hover above reality and calculate the optimal route. It uses complexity as a defense mechanism to avoid making a real choice.

Piloting is moving to avoid errors. Action is moving to be in the movement. In the second state, something inside stops defending itself.

Stop negotiating for visibility. Act from internal values, not anticipated outcomes. That is the only dignity that matters. If this resonated, leave a like and share your thoughts below.

Freedom comes when the effort is enough because YOU say so. Not because it changes them. Not because it works as a strategy. But because it is who you are.

Got it. "The code" as in the illusion we can identify with as who we are". We are not our patterns. We are not our reactions. We aren't even our conscious responses. We are that which is Witnessing it All ✨ Mind recommending a Gurdjieff read? I've heard of, but not familiar 🙏

I spent years trying to be less defensive, less needy, less reactive. Then I realized: I wasn't the problem. The code was running me. The moment I stopped fighting it and just started seeing it—I had a choice.

@seanpaul_io Yes. Fighting the code. The code = what we think we are (our patterns, our reactions…). Have you read Gurdjieff?
