This is a great graphic that compares cost per kilometer in Australia between the top 10 ICE vehicles & top 10 EVs. The difference is huge.
Top EVs:
1) Tesla Model Y: 1.7¢
2) BYD Sealion 7: 1.8¢
3) Tesla Model 3: 1.5¢
Top ICE vehicles:
1) Ford Range: 16¢
2) Toyota HiLux: 16¢
3) Isuzu D-Max: 18¢
The Hyundai Tuscan (9th bestselling ICE car) costs 8X more per kilometer than the @Tesla Model Y. I converted all amounts above to USD.
While the graphic is for new car sales, the Model 3 and Model Y were the top two bestselling used EVs in Australia in March 2026, as used EV sales went up 138% from February, likely as Australians try to ditch petrol and diesel in favor of cheaper alternatives.

More reports of EV charging queues during Easter in Australia.

Tesla Owners of Club of Australia Members self-organised to create an analog queuing system (deli-style tickets)
"I numbered them from 1 to 9 and as your number comes up you pass the card down to number 2 and number 2 passes their card to number 3".
Euroa is an interesting location between Wodonga and Melbourne.
The Service Station features 2x 350kW DC fast chargers and 2x 50kW chargers.. down the road (in town) there's Tesla's 6-bay V3 Superhcarger.
Right now the RACV chargers (on the Chargefox network), are partially unavailable, waiting for repair.
This data should help power further investments and hopefully more V4 chargers for Tesla and Non-Tesla vehicles at this key highway location.

1st time in a long time I seen EV queueing for the Superchargers in Wodonga. Popular at the start of Easter. Along with these 6, there's another 16x in Albury. It seems with EV adoption exploding even this may not be enough.. up to 15 minutes wait times.

Happy last day of FSD outright purchase availability for Australia. Still no software update since September 2025 (13.2.9). Don't do it, we are in the bottom of the backlog, our branch is forgotten. 6 months is a lifetime in software development
