Not sure it will be. They may have an OT in that cluster they feel can play OG. OT in a pinch. There is a drop off between Vega and Bisontis/Pregnon/Dunker etc. But maybe they feel guys like Lomu/Fanu maybe Proctor can play both spots and offer better value in the 1st. Miami drafted Jonah last year and he is a massive OG. For those who claim we need a smaller guy for a McD system. He drafted a monster last year in the 2nd

Its certainly an excellent point. One i have brought up in our draft thread a few times now. And since we are clearly intent on building the roster through the draft...a guy that will be 30 for his 2nd contract may factor in. Makes a lot of sense to grab guys who are in their low 20s. It may be a factor as to why so many list him middle of the 2nd. The talent is there to be a 1st rounder.

I liked the Tarrt, Molden, Jackson, Dye adds. Minor moves but paid off. The Oweh trade was well done. Its just he cares so much about comps that it makes me fear he is focused on the future...and pissing on the current season. He has a method for sure. He also sees just how bloated the market rate is for players. I think any new regime coming to a team with so many issues and deep seeded culture flaws will require 3 drafts to build a base.

@ThePowderblues Hortiz hasnt impressed me for FA since he has been here, but he has always nailed the draft. We’ll have to wait and see.

Im thinking round 2 or 3 for OG. Edge/DT/OL/WR. These are the positions i think we come away with in the first 4. Maybe we use that comp pick next year to do something this draft. Use a 27 4th to move up. Maybe we move out of 22. Im just gonna panic about the lack of big spending until we see what we do in the draft. Teams always drop players post draft. 2nd wave is the value teams look for.
