@YorchTorchGames To be fair BG3 satisfied both camps (this is how you do it if your game is full of wokeness) Also, you can highkey avoid the wokeness in the game if you pick the “right” choices

The culture war keeps getting it wrong. Wokeness didn't destroy game studios. You can have the wokest game but if it's a blast to play and has amazing art direction chances are people will show up. Toxic positivity and bloated budgets are what decimated Western gaming.

This game wasn't woke. If it was, I'd have to help the refugees, no option to kill them. Yet I can. It's literally the first thing in the game and everyone casually pretends like it didn't happen. If it was woke, I wouldn't be able to kill any 'oppressed groups' - yet I perfectly can.

Even closer to reality: Both kids earn 10. The real, effective tax rate Norwegians pay is actually between 32 and 45%. So you take away 3.7 USD, the median. Now, Daddy Norway also pumped up a lot of oil and has created a giant national fund from the sales of that oil. Result: Daddy Norway can easily afford to subsidize health benefits. A situation most countries aren't in.

@TheProfessorZ @HarleyShah Then imagine UK supporting and sponsoring IDF to commit genocide. Well, you don’t have to imagine, it’s all documented and still ongoing in 4k.

Proscribing the IRGC that doesn't even exist in the UK and has no interest here at all is pathetic nonsense. It creates an active enemy where there wasn't one and will only make talks and negotiations with Iran harder. Counter productive performative idiocy. Enjoy your £5000 gas

Bypassing the latest #EU #ageVerification app (2026.07-1) with a Chrome extension... again. Despite 3 months of security hardening and genuine improvements across the board, the fundamental issue cannot be solved. Anonymous age verification doesn't work.

I honestly don't know how @vonderleyen can say it's "privacy preserving" with a straight face. Do I need to hack it again?

Imagine posting this not realizing how much of a self-own this is. You're literally highlighting the problem here: The free market is prevented from self-regulating through customer choice. Apple was the only one. If customers had a problem with it, they could choose not to buy Apple and exclusively buy products that have a 'standard' charging port. Clearly customers didn't mind. Except for Apple, that problem was already solved when mini USB, then microUSB and then USB-C became the standard YEARS before the EU forced anything through. Also, USB-C was literally invented/designed by Apple as potential replacement for their old proprietary connector, only to be donated to the USB foundation and Apple developing Lightning instead. Lightning isn't 'worse' than USB-C.

Time to make things official🔌 USB-C is the common charger for portable electronic devices sold in the EU. One port. Many matches: phones, tablets, laptops, headphones, e-readers, speakers & more. Less cable clutter. Less e-waste. More compatibility. 🔗link.europa.eu/QDMFTh

Cheers, I was aware, and not the point I'm addressing. Nobody should be hitting the DVLA website like it's Ticketmaster when Taylor Swift does a tour. Like, what are we doing as a society when people can barely get their driver's license? Makes you wonder whether it's by design, given everything else going on.

@TheProfessorZ @GOVUK Quick tip, i managed to find a cancellation for my area at around 11pm at night for the following week, i think that's the best time to check and then do random checks throughout the day and you will find something closeby, all the best

2026 and we can't even program NPCs to react realistically in the Black Flag remake. The medium is crumbling right before our eyes with devs that clearly just don't care. INEXCUSABLE!

Why do you think this, LOL? Starlink is a registered ISP in the countries it serves. Starlink therefore is subject to the same laws as any other ISP in that same country. If the law says they need to ban access, they will. Every Starlink transceiver is linked to your account and billing address. If Starlink refuses, they will lose their operating license in that country, face fines or executives face jail time. The EU, being the EU, would probably explore seizure of assets to take control of the EU Starlink infrastructure. It's not because there are no physical wires under the ground that Starlink has free reign.
