J.J. Wiebusch was at #NYR development camp last summer. He’s one of the top undrafted NCAA free agents who can score goals. Wonder why he’d leave PSU, had a great freshman and sophomore year. My guess is that it would have to do with his linemates Cerrato and DiMarsico signing.

I appreciate Bucci’s passion for the game, but he’s just way off the mark here. And crapping on Atlantic Hockey as a bunch of teams that are “not gonna ever win the national championship” is a super tone deaf soundbite. All this from a guy who claims to love college hockey.

I actually believe this would contract, not grow, college hockey. We have to remember that people who make decisions - presidents, trustees - aren’t hockey people. If those people felt their program didn’t get “D1 exposure” if not in Tier 1, you’ll see a lot more Mercyhursts.

@spittinchiclets @Buccigross Funny when was the last time ESPN promoted that they show the ECAC and Hockey East games on ESPN+? Where is ESPN in helping to grow the games? @CCHockeyNews Going to report this because it is the truth. It is Bucci's employer that is the biggest part of the problem. They treat college hockey as an after-thought. They do even less to help promote the game. Show me the last time they had an ad for the college games they show on ESPN+?

So @JLazzy23 the OHL Western Conference semifinals are going to be your adopted kid brother Liam Greentree +Windsor against the two headed Flint monster of Aspinall/Battaglia. Trio combined for 15-20-35 in 4 games of the 1st round. They might be a line in Hartford next year

Hey Drury get Artem Gonchar on a plane and to the Hartford Wolfpack yesterday. This kid had a very decent season and finished a good (but short) playoff run. Hartford has 8 games left, put the kid in for five of them. That is how you develop tomorrow
