@AquaPani as much as i love a lot of the romhacks and stuff that add later gen pokemon, some designs rly do fall flat in 2D/pixel art. artists can translate a lot pretty well but a lot just don't work as well

Pokémon fans somehow can understand "this design was made to work in 2D so it doesn't translate very well into 3D" just fine but never consider "this design was made to work with 3D Animations and doesn't work as well in a 2D still image"

This makes me think of some Pokémon whose battle animations reveal aspects of their inspiration/character, things that would have been impossible to depict in game before the 3D era

@DollMimikyu @AquaPani Honestly I think more fangamea should use gen5 animated sprite style. I've seen some pretty amazing ones for later gen pokemon and it still allows them to show their unique animations.

@Im_stupi0 @The_Teal_Mask It's also because it's previously signature move, Pollen Puff, explodes on enemies and heals allies. It's a Bombyliidae that makes bombs out of pollen.

This adorable little creature is a bee fly (specifically, from the family Bombyliidae). They might look like cuddly cartoon characters, but they are incredibly agile flyers and excellent pollinators.
