7/ Queensland Unions will always stand up for Queensland workers and make sure their voices are heard. Workers deserve a seat at the table, not to have the power of their voices replaced by those representing powerful corporations.

6/ Boards overseeing workplace and industry issues are made stronger by union voices, ensuring decisions consider worker welfare. Replacing them with corporate appointees shifts their focus from people to profit, sidelining Queensland workers.

🧵1/ The recent removal of union representatives from govt boards by the Crisafulli Government raises significant concerns about worker representation in our state. Unions across Queensland are democratic voices for workers, advocating for their collective rights and interests.

5/5 This could be used to "circumvent or undermine" the work of long-established institutions including parliament and Law Reform Commission. But most likely it will be used to make recommendations that remove power from working people and shift it into the hands of big business.

4/5 ... and rather than act as an actual productivity commission, it appears to be a statutory body established to provide centralised policy and legislative advice on any government business and inquire into any matter the minister, or government, may determine.
